Pinstripe Background Ideas

Darkroom Door - Monday, December 03, 2018

Hi there, it’s Rachel Greig here today to share some ideas using the Pinstripe Background Stamp. This is a very delicate stamp design that can be used in a number of different ways. Here’s a few ideas:

For this card I wanted a hint of sparkle and glitter, so I stamped the Pinstripe Background Stamp with Distress Embossing Ink and embossed with Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder. It just gives a nice hint of glitter without being too dominant for the card. The sentiment is from the Yuletide Greetings Stamp Set, stamped onto Kraft card stock with Vermillion Archival Ink. A couple of grunge board stars covered in Brilliance Gold ink finish it off!

Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder
Archival Ink: Vermillion
Kraft & Red Cardstock
Brilliance Gold Ink Pad

Another way to use the Pinstripe Background is for journaling:

I’ve stamped the Pinstripe Background onto the right hand side page using Archival Jet Black ink to use as journaling lines to write onto. Makes it so easy to journal! The size of the lines are the same as the lines you’ll find in composition notebooks. So now you can create your own notebooks and journaling spaces in your journals!

This next card shows how you can create a rainbow background using an embossing resist technique:

You can read the full instructions for this card here https://www.darkroomdoor.com/blog/4-ways-with-quote-stamps. I’ve also  filmed a video to show you how it can be created using the Pinstripe Background Stamp. Watch here:

The Pinstripe Background is one of those staple backgrounds that is useful for so many projects, I hope you’ve enjoyed these ideas! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
