Floral Watercolour Cards

Darkroom Door - Friday, March 20, 2009

Here's a couple of cards that I created while I was in New Zealand teaching at the Pounawea Retreat for Wilma Sharp and Hasting Rubber Stamps. These are from the Brushless Watercolour class. I sprayed a LOT of water on the stamps for this particular demo, so the ink colours have really blended. I like the effect. I like that these stamps can give you a lot of detail when stamped normal (without water) or they can look like real solid blooms when stamped like this:

Stamps: Full Bloom Vol 1 (flower) and Full Bloom Vol 2 (quote).
Inks: Adirondack Meadow, Butterscotch, Red Pepper.

Here's another card:

Stamps: Wildflower (Flower), Full Bloom Vol 2 (quote)
Inks: Adirondack Meadow, Butterscotch, Red Pepper.

I've updated my photography blog with photos and stories from NZ. You can check it out here. I had a lot of fun with everyone at the retreat - thanks to everyone who took my classes :)

Have a great weekend everyone!
